BETSY ROSS AND HER FLAG

Betsy's undergarments consist of a lace trimmed batiste chemise and pocket hoops that are tied around  her waist  to hold out  her dress on the sides.  Her outer garments are a fitted bodice fastened to a stomacker in front with the pleated gown skirt and contrasting underskirt.  Her sleeves have a ruffle with the chemise ruffle also showing.  She wears a lace trimmed mob cap on top of her upswept hairdo. The shoes are sculpted and look like brushed satin with gold buckles. Her attire closely follows 18th century dress. Her clothing and flag were hand stitched by the artist.  With a soft wind ruffling her flag and skirt, pride and patriotism shine on her face and in her eyes.
She is 18" tall.
