Resting Santa

Santa’s taking a break, feeding his reindeer, and planning his next stop.  He checks his pocket watch and tells the ‘boys’ to hurry up.  This one-of-a-kind  7 inch Santa is made from Cernit polymer clay, using colored Sculpey clay for his clothing.  Pastels and color washes age and soften the final finish of the clay.  Santa’s ‘leather’ bag was pieced with cutouts, embellished with fringe and a strap with a buckle.  He is leaning back on feed sacks and taking it easy for awhile.  Mounted on a small snow covered wooden base, he is signed and numbered by the artist.
