Veneetah means 'soft winds' in Navajo. She is rightly named, soft and lovely. One-of-a-kind, she has been hand sculpted from Darwi, an air dry stone clay and detailed with watercolors.
Her deeply hand- fringed, turquoise nugget trimmed, soft white leather jacket over the softest white silk velvet blouson trousers, softly gathered over turquoise woven fabric leggings provide a beautiful setting for the Southwestern patterned woven turquoise used for the lined flounced top. Accents include feathered trim around the neckline and ankles.
A silver colored metal bracelet adorns her wrist. Her hat is hammered silver with turquoise and silver pendants.
Hand dyed turquoise mohair accents her dark brown upswept hair. A silver ribbon and a silver leaf charm adorn the other side of her hair.
The Manzanita wood base has been embellished with washes of silver, metallic turquoise, bronze, and copper with turquoise nugget embedded.
It's a stunning base for a stunning doll sculpture, approximately 20", including the base.
Veneetah is for the discriminating collector.
