Continuing to learn, to stretch and to extend oneself into new areas of expertise is the fuel that fans the fire of my love of sculpting with polymer clay. I hope to delve into new types of clay this year, but for right now, I've just completed my first Pencil Santa, "Wise Man's Gifts", made entirely of Cernit polymer clay. More will follow.
Pure enjoyment are the only words that describe my experience with this old world Santa, from the horse and lamb looking over one shoulder to the bear peering over the other. Holding the bird in one hand and a bird house in the other, he is offering a wise man's gifts to all.
He is ornate, beautifully dressed and painted.
Santa is mounted on manzanita wood sprinkled with a light snow. He measures 13 1/4"; the base is 2" for a total of approximately 15 1/2" tall. The base is approximately 5"X6". The sculpture weighs 2 1/2 lbs. Signed and numbered he is available at Reasons to Believe . 845.00
